First thing is "Weight".
When you find a tennis racquet, you can easily find the Weight. Sometimes it says "strung weight" otherwise "unstrung weight". You can change your string after buying a racquet. It means that you can choose strings and the weight of strings is different. So you'd better to see "unstrung weight" or find the weight of string.

Why the weight is important? If the racquet is heavier, you can easily hit the ball powerfully. However, it is hard to control the ball obviously and it require more muscular strength to manipulate. Therefore you have to tradeoff the POWER and CONTROL.

So which one is good for me? "Heavy racquets" weight more than 11ounces(312g), "Midweight racquets" weight 9.8 ~ 10.9 ounces(278g ~ 309g) and "Lightweight racquets" weight 8.6 ~ 9.8 ounces(245g ~ 278g). Men use Midweight racquets and women usually use Lightweight racquet. But it depends on individual. If you want to powerful play, you can choose heavier one. If you want to delicate play, you can choose light one. FYI, pro-player use heavier one. So female pro-players usually use 290g or heavier and male pro-players usually use 310g or heavier.
